An exciting addition to the Diemersdal range, this is a blend of South Africa’s two most popular red varieties, with Cabernet Sauvignon leading the combination at 70% to Merlot’s 30%. Both varieties are grown on the estate where they have been a part of the wine offering for over three decades. The vineyards are farmed in unirrigated conditions to ensure optimum concentration of fruit and focussed varietal expression.
The Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot components are aged separately in stainless steel tanks, to provide fruit brightness and a fresh, approachable structure, as well as in used 225l French oak barrels for a softer, plush element that adds a touch of delectable spice to the wine.
